Unless you are hiding under a rock and
have not yet googled the net regarding the Great Avian Flu controversy,
you know that the discussion of whether or not Avian Flu will ever actually
materialize as a world catastrophe is hot and heavy with "experts"
ranting on all sides of the issue.
The purpose of this page is to provide
you with a sampling of the many sides to the issue. In truth, we believe
it is the role of government to be ready in case such a catastrophe were
to occur. However, the US track record of anticipating and handling earlier
epidemics does not engender confidence. Two of our main concerns are that,
as always, there is no place for including natural healing arts products
and services in the framing of official public health policy and law and,
second, the idea that people can take care of themselves is also glaringly
absent.
On the belief that health freedom
includes providing the public with a selection of information about the
issues as well as offer what strategies they may want to use to help themselves
should such an epidemic occur, we have established this page of information.
