Oklahoma State and Federal Public Servants

The main reason that Oklahomans have the right to choose natural healing arts products and services is because of the vigilance of those who came before us who made it very clear to their elected officials that such services were to be protected from allopathic monopoly suppression. For that reason, Health Freedom Action Network! members urge you to become acquainted with both your state legislative and federal Congressional officials.

All of them have offices in their home districts and if you are in a position to become acquainted with them personally when Congress or our state legislature are not in session, this might be a good idea. That way, you can informally tell them that you are four square behind health freedom. Your two U.S. Senators and your U.S. House Member also have legislative aides who sometimes specialize in handling specific issues such as health care, so, if you can, please contact them as well and make sure they know you want them to protect your health freedom, too.

FIND YOUR PUBLIC SERVANTS*
Thanks to the technology of the Internet, you can now locate both your state and federal Senators and Representatives by just typing in your home address.

OKLAHOMA STATE LEGISLATURE
http://www.lsb.state.ok.us/

The Oklahoma Legislature runs from January through May. Text of bills and other useful information are available on the Internet. That way, you can keep up with the progress of a bill or know in which committee it will be heard. Be aware, however, that many times, the text of bills are changed at the last minute before they go into committee meetings so if something is extremely important to you, there is no substitute for being there to obtain the up-to-the-minute text.

Congress is in session all year round except during various recesses. It is a good idea to know who your U.S. House of Representatives member is as well as both U.S. Senators from Oklahoma. They have offices around the state so you would be well served to know where these offices are and become acquainted with the folks who work there. Depending on the situation, staff members who work in Oklahoma are easier to reach by phone and in person. If you need to contact somebody in Washington, local staffers will be more than happy to help you locate the right staffer in Washington, DC. If you plan to write a letter, be aware that due to terrorist fears, mail takes longer to arrive as it is screened.

You may also follow the progress of bills as well as read the text by checking on the Internet. The web addresses below will help guide you through both houses of Congress.
